CASE STUDY
Reducing Implementation Risk to Maximize Oracle EPM Value
INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES | NON-DESTRUCTIVE EXCAVATION | ORACLE EPM
Background
Badger Infrastructure Solutions is North America’s largest provider of non-destructive excavation and related services. With 140+ locations, 1,700+ fleet units, and more than 21,500 customers, the company needed stronger financial visibility, consistent planning, and a unified view of performance to support continued growth.

Challenge & Approach
After selecting Oracle EPM to complement Oracle Fusion ERP, Badger needed to integrate its existing technology investments, reduce reliance on Excel, improve consolidation and planning, and determine whether upstream ERP data and design decisions were contributing to performance issues.
CFO Solutions led a Phase 0 engagement to clarify priorities, surface risks, and align Finance, Accounting, Manufacturing, and IT. Workshops and maturity benchmarking informed a phased roadmap spanning Financial Consolidation and Close, largely out-of-the-box planning, strategic long-range planning, interactive reporting, and targeted Oracle Fusion ERP changes.
Value Delivered
By resolving key scope, sequencing, process, and design decisions before implementation, Badger reduced ambiguity and entered delivery with a shared roadmap. The project finished largely on time and on budget, and the core team received internal recognition for a successful, high-impact implementation. Badger now has stronger consolidation, planning, reporting, and strategic decision-making capabilities while realizing more value from its Oracle investment.
