Finance teams spent significant time gathering and reconciling information from spreadsheets, PDFs, and standalone systems before analysis could begin. Working with CFO Solutions, EBSCO adopted Board through a phased implementation that balanced enterprise consistency with business-specific needs. The initial foundation centralized financial data, standardized reporting, and introduced planning for profit and loss, headcount, and capital expenditures. CFO Solutions then expanded the platform with additional planning models, balance sheet reporting, workforce planning, and business-specific capabilities. Hands-on training and collaborative development also built internal expertise so EBSCO’s FP&A team could independently enhance and extend the platform.
Value Delivered
EBSCO now operates from a centralized planning and reporting platform that gives finance teams a consistent source of financial information across the enterprise. Users can drill into statements, compare scenarios, and analyze performance without manually assembling and reconciling reports. EBSCO reports thousands of hours of productivity gains, with some tasks reduced from several hours to minutes. Retiring legacy reporting systems also lowered technology costs and administrative overhead, while finance shifted more time toward analysis, forecasting, performance management, and strategic decision-making.
